So Boris asked Ron to program an Englishman complete with umbrella and melon hat to put at that piano. It still would have been a reach, but a translation for a similar kind of wrench, at the time, was "ein Engländer", literally, "an Englishman". The "monkey wrench" pun was completely intranslatible. Things got really wild for LeChuck's Revenge though. He translated 'pieces'o'eight' with "Goldstücke", but I guess Ron would have protested against the accurate "spanische Silberdollar". Boris mostly just did his own thing, which made the translation better in some parts, but worse in others.
